Witch's Ritual Black Salt

For centuries, black salt has been used all over the world to ward off negative energy, in protection spells, spiritual cleansing, and even to ward off bad dreams. 

What is ritual black salt?  Ritual salt, also known as Witch’s salt is made with salt along with ash, charcoal, and sometimes black pepper.  It is never meant to be eaten.  The easiest way to use ritual salt is to sprinkle some outside your door to ward off negative intentions from visitors.  You can also add to spell jars, or place a small bag of it under your pillow or in a bowl under your bed to keep nightmares at bay.  You can even sprinkle some in front of your broom before sweeping to sweep bad energy out of your home.  Some witches carry a small vial or bag on them when leaving the home or traveling for protection.

My black ritual salt is made from Hawaiian lava salt to which I have added ash and charcoal from burning protective herbs and wood as incense.  Among these herbs are organic rosemary, organic sage, ethically sourced Peruvian palo santo, organic lavender, and organic mugwort.  So much good intention is used in the making of this salt.  I make small batches outdoors by hand with mortar and pestle. It is unscented.
